THE GLOBAL IDOL PRESENTS A NEW SOCIAL INITIATIVE AS PART OF HIS COMMITMENT TO TAKING CARE OF OUR PLANET WITH HIS #SOYSOÑADORDEUNMUNDOMEJOR CAMPAIGN

MIAMI, Florida (April 22, 2021). Global Latin music idol MALUMA celebrates Earth Day today with an activist spirit by taking part in a special event “Earth Day! The Musical” alongside international celebrities such as scientist and TV host Bill Nye as well as Justin Bieber among other artists and environmental activists, where he will speak about the importance of caring for our planet to raise awareness among young people and encourage them to take action to generate changes that will allow us to live in a sustainable world. This virtual event is presented by Earthday.org and will be streamed live on Facebook Watch at noon Eastern time.

Maluma continues to develop his environmental efforts hand in hand with his music. This week he released “Rumba”(Puro Oro Anthem), a song he co-wrote with Keityn and Edgar Barrera for the new Michelob ULTRA Pure Goldcampaign for which Maluma is the new brand ambassador. The beer is produced with 100% renewable electricity from solar energy. “Rumba” (Pure Gold Anthem) is the artist’s and the brand’s anthem for Earth Day with a Caribbean vibe and a unique collaboration with the closest star to our planet, as we can listen to real frequencies of the sun that were recorded in this song. Today the artist released the official film for the song which was shot in his hometown of Medellin, Colombia. To watch the it click HERE.

Maluma, along with his Foundation El Arte De Los Sueños, also launched a brand new environmental education and social consciousness initiative today – the #SoySoñadorDeUnMundoMejor campaign. Artists and influencers joined his call to action to raise awareness in support of this cause.

“Considering the challenging times we are living, our generation now must work hard in order to ensure future generations have the opportunity to live in a sustainable world, based on respecting our planet and our only home, its resources and biodiversity,” Maluma expressed upon announcing the release of the campaign.

This is not the first time the Latin superstar shows his commitment and contribution to ecological causes. In January, he released his album #7DJ (7 days in Jamaica), with a  cover featuring a portrait created with recycled materials by Colombian artist Federico Uribe. The original artwork was part of a gallery exhibition that was open to the public in Miami, which included other pieces, each one interconnected like the songs on his album, which were auctioned off online with the money raised being donated to non-profit organizations dedicated to ocean and environmental conservation in his native Colombia.

On May 2nd Maluma will headline the virtual festival Reventón de Verano where he will perform songs from his new album #7DJ as well as many of his previous hits for his fans. This show will be broadcast on ReventonLive.com and on their respective social media sites.
