Group Breathes New Life Into Latin Hits from the Last Few Decades

MIAMI, Florida (October 14, 2020). Award-winning, multiplatinum group, CNCO announce their eagerly awaited third studio album due out later this yearThe production pays homage to classic Latin hit songs popularized in the last few decades, reworked in CNCO style. Not only did the five vocalists breathe new life into these songs, but they also evoked a bit of nostalgia at the same time. In order to spread some light in the middle of the global pandemic, CNCO dedicates this album full of romantic songs, to their fans.

“At the beginning of quarantine, we took some time off after being on the road for the past few years. We were all able to reconnect with our families and have time to think back on all we’ve accomplished, and what kind of music inspired us to get here. There was a collection of songs that immediately came to mind, these romantic ballads that we all love to sing along to. While we take some time to work on our own original songs, we decided to have some fun and bring back some of the classic songs from the past, with a CNCO twist,” Christopher, Erick, Joel, Richard and Zabdiel expressed.

Their announcement has sparked excitement and anticipation among their fans who are eager to learn the track listing and see the album cover, which will be revealed in the coming weeks. Among the countries where they immediately became top trending on Twitter are Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

In August, CNCO took the VMA mainstage for the first time with a showstopping performance of their current single “Beso.” Click HERE to watch! As one of only two Latin acts of the night, the boys showed off their signature smooth choreography and high energy stage presence while performing in front of a live audience of fans at a special drive-in location, sponsored by Toyota. 

Additionally, CNCO closed out the iconic night by taking home their first VMA for “Best Quarantine Performance,” an exciting win in a general market category, beating out heavy weights including Lady Gaga, Post Malone and John Legend. 

CNCO have become one of Latin pop’s most influential and prolific hit-makers. With two number #1 albums under their belt, the group has garnered numerous awards including: Latin American Music Awards, Premios Juventud (Youth Awards), Billboard Latin Music Awards, Premio Lo Nuestro, Premios Tu Mundo (Your World Awards), iHeartRadio Music Awards, Kids Choice Award and a Teen Choice Award. CNCO topped off a banner 2019 in the US with a 7-minute medley performance in Times Square on New Years Eve (HERE).
