PRESENTS THE TITLE TRACK TO HIS UPCOMING ALBUM LAS LOCURAS MÍAS

MIAMI (October 22, 2020) – The legendary Colombian artist Silvestre Dangond, who has helped Vallenato music make an impact around the world, releases the title track to his upcoming 14th studio album Las Locuras Mías (My Crazy Thoughts).

This first single of his new album is written by Omar Gélez Suárez. Recording this song stirred deep feelings inSilvestre. As he puts it: “It’s been some timesince I had sung and felt a Vallenato song that was meant for falling in love! What’s more, it reminds me of when I released ‘Mi Amor por Ella’ because it has a vintage sound that takes me back to the early days of my career.”

Recorded at Cucayo Records in Bogotá; Valbuena Records studios in Valledupar, Colombia; and El Cuarto in Miami, Las Locuras Mías is produced by Silvestre himself, along with Beto Urieles and Roland Valbuena, Jr., featuring  Lucas Dangond on the accordion. The track was mixed by Carlos Álvarez and Luis Ortega, in addition to the mastering completed at Fullersound in Miami.

Silvestre spent eight months recording this album with his team and band members, listed below:

Bass: Nemesio Gómez
Caja: Adelmo “Memo” Granados, Tito Castilla
Congas: Giovanny García Aspriella, Hector “Tico” Rojano on “Tengo un Dios”
Guacharaca: Reynaldo Ortiz, Jesualdo Ustaris
Guitar: Egenio ¨Geño¨ Gámez
Timbal: Felipe Noriega
Keyboards and programming: Beto Urieles, Luis Ortega
Backing vocals: Roland Valbuena, More Ovalle, Roland Valbuena Jr.
Vocal Coach: Luis Ortega
Accordion: Juan José Granados/Jimmy Zambrano/Lucas Dangond

Silvestre notes that this song wears its heart on its sleeve: “It’s the typical song that does it all. I say that because all the listener has to do is dedicate it to their special someone. It is so relatable that everyone will cede to its pleadings.”

He also announced that the album’s February 21, 2021 release date could be brought forward, as pre-orders totaling 50,000 physical copies via his website www.silvestredangond.com will automatically trigger its release: Las Locuras Mías will be out when you want it to be out.”

Silvestre’s next live performance is to take place on November 21 in Valledupar, Colombia, with the emblematic Guatapurí River as a backdrop. Tickets for this streaming event went on sale October 7 and can be purchased here: www.lacajademusica.live

The song’s music video, filmed and post-produced by the photography director José Vergara and Frankie Jazz, portrays Silvestre and his family in scenes that meant a lot to him, as the lockdown allowed him to explore concepts and details of his album with more depth:“Videos are part of my essence. I like them to be very colorful and fun. And these contain a lot of the essence that surrounds this album,” he notes.
