Kolm formó parte de un selecto grupo de

músico jamaiquino Ziggy Marley. Una
organización dedicada a apoyar la libertad artística con un énfasis en defender

“Recibir este premio tiene un gran significado
en mi carrera”, dijo Kolm minutos después de presentar un discurso de

Nacido en Buenos Aires, Kolm tenía solamente

awarded the “Saban Ambassador of Peace” honor by the Creative Community For
Peace during an emotionally charged event held last night at a private home in
the Beverly Hills area.
Kolm
was joined by four other distinguished honorees from the music industry: Aaron
Bay-Shuck (CEO/Co-Chairman of Warner Records); Jacqueline Saturn (President,
Caroline Music/CMG); Troy Carter (Founder of Q&A and Atom Factory); and
Jamaican musician and hitmaker Ziggy Marley.
An organization dedicated to supporting artistic freedom with a special
emphasis on defending concert performances being held in Israel, Creative
Community for Peace is apolitical by principle.
“Receiving
this award has a very special meaning in my career,” said Kolm minutes after delivering
an inspiring acceptance speech that transported the audience back to his years
as a rebellious teenager in love with heavy metal. “As a manager, my mission is to break
cultural barriers. This is how Maluma, a
kid from Colombia, was able to record a duet with Madonna. Or Carlos Vives, who finds inspiration in the
rhythms of his homeland, has managed to take those sounds all over the
world. Breaking those barriers is probably
the most significant victory in the work that we do.”
Born
in Buenos Aires, Kolm was only 17 when he founded an indie record label. After stints with Universal Music in
Argentina, Chile and the United States, he started his own management firm in
2012, shepherding the careers of Latin stars such as Maluma, Carlos Vives,
Wisin, Silvestre Dangond, CNCO, Emilia and Rombai. Named Executive of the Year by Billboard magazine
in 2018, Kolm is known for his close involvement in the day-to-day artistic
decisions of his roster, as well as his rare ability to discover and develop
